Main Lab
The main laboratory is used for a variety of purposes, including cricket sorting, data collection, data entry and lab meetings.

Recording Lab
A Spike2 system from Cambridge Electronic Design is used to automate the recording and analysis of male calling behavior.

Preference Lab
A foam-lined chamber with a video camera mounted in the ceiling is used to test female preferences. Outside of the chamber is a computer used to play songs and a video monitor to observe female movements.

Observation Rooms
Two small rooms adjacent to the preference lab are used for behavioral observations and acoustic isolation of females prior to preference testing.

Cricket Room
A large room in the animal care facility and an environmental chamber adjacent to the main lab are used for rearing crickets.

Other Space
We have access to unassigned laboratory space across the hall from the main laboratory. This includes a large general purpose room (seen here partially filled with junk) and an environmental chamber.
